Suicide Bomber Claims Dozens of Lives in Nigeria’s Attack
Nahum Daso, spokesperson for the Borno police, informed a news agency via phone that the suicide bomber struck civilians gathered at a food venue within the Konduga local government area. Authorities quickly secured the scene and conducted thorough searches for additional explosives but found none.
Medical teams on site confirmed all victims had succumbed to their injuries, Daso said, noting that ongoing efforts aim to identify the deceased and notify their families.
At this time, no organization has stepped forward to claim responsibility for the attack.
Despite persistent government and military operations, terrorist groups continue to launch assaults on civilians, particularly targeting northeastern Nigeria, where such violence has been most prevalent over the years.
