China starts fresh group of low Earth orbit satellites

(MENAFN) China has launched another group of low Earth orbit satellites, further expanding its planned internet constellation, according to reports.

The launch took place at 2:43 p.m. (Beijing Time) on Wednesday from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province. The satellites were carried into orbit aboard a Long March-5B rocket equipped with a Yuanzheng-2 (Expedition-2) upper stage.

The payload successfully entered its designated orbit.

This mission was the 588th launch in the Long March carrier rocket series.
