Russia Confirms Klyuchevskoy Volcano Eruption Over

(MENAFN) The eruption of Klyuchevskoy Volcano, located in Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula, has officially concluded, according to a statement from the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, shared via Telegram.

Klyuchevskoy, one of Eurasia's most active volcanoes, rises to 4,754 meters and is situated about 30 km from the village of Klyuchi. The eruption, which began on July 30, was preceded by a significant earthquake in the area the day before.

During the eruption, ash plumes ascended to altitudes of up to 12 kilometers, with ashfall impacting communities throughout the Ust-Kamchatsky municipal district.
