Commissioner Rusty Jacksland Appointed to National Justice and Public Safety Committee

AUTAUGA COUNTY, Ala. — Autauga County Commissioner Rusty Jacksland has been appointed to the National Association of Counties’ (NACo) Justice and Public Safety Policy Steering Committee.

The national appointment will allow Commissioner Jacksland to represent Autauga County while contributing to important policy discussions involving justice, public safety, law enforcement and communities across the country.

With nearly three decades of law enforcement experience, along with his service on the Autauga County Commission, Commissioner Jacksland brings valuable firsthand knowledge and a strong commitment to public safety to this national leadership role.

“I’m honored to have been appointed to this committee, and I don’t take the responsibility lightly,” Commissioner Jacksland said. “During my 26 years in law enforcement, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges facing our officers, our communities and the people we serve. Through its policy steering committees, the National Association of Counties provides county leaders with opportunities to help shape federal policy priorities and advocate on issues affecting counties and their residents.
