Government Communications invites media to apply for media accreditation to cover 2026 National Heritage Day celebration, Western Cape Province
The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) invite members of the media to apply for accreditation to cover the 2026 Heritage Day programme.
There has been a change in the venue and province for the 2026 National Heritage Day celebration. The national celebration will now take place on Thursday, 24 September 2026, in Thembalethu, George, Western Cape Province, under the theme, “Celebrating Our Living Heritage: Strengthening the Ties That Bind Us.”
Members of the media wishing to cover this year’s celebration are requested to apply for accreditation by completing the attached accreditation form in full and sending it to Likhona Qwabe at likhonaq@dsac.gov.za and Kamogelo Ledwaba at kamogelol@gcis.gov.za
Deadline for submission is extended to Monday, 21 September 2026 at 16:00
